THE DEAREST COUPLE – GORKA Y NICO.

For the launch of its first edition, DEAR is celebrating a collective exhibition with all 13 photographers involved in the project and the special collaboration of photographer Gorka Postigo and artist Nicolás Santos under the name “The Dearest Couples. Gorka y Nico”. Some of the artists involved include Charlie Engman, Lukasz Wierzbovski, The Cabriolets, Adriá Cañameras, Sofia Okkonen or Quentin de Briey.

DEAR is interested in the work process and the experiences, references and influences involved in it, striving to “make things explode” through the mélange of different artists with a common objective. For their first project, they approached Gorka and Nico in order to take their real life emotional bond into artistic territory. The result is a series of photographs where Postigo’s visual style and Santos’ approach to collage mix together in perfect fashion.

“We are interested in the influences and references that are created between two people in a relationship and what comes from when sharing a new work experience… All of this within the background of love and its power of inspiration.”

Dear, Vol I – “The Dearest Couples. Gorka y Nico” opens on Friday April 20th and runs from April 21st to 23rd. Libertad 22, Madrid.
